Cold,paying bills,job offer,mom doing better in Life of a cat mom

It is absolutely freezing in West Virginia. It was beautiful last week I was in shorts and now I am curled up in my bed shivering with my cats laying on me trying to stay warm. Yesterday I was walking around without a jacket paying bills,visiting dads grave to give him flowers. Today I wish I had a better jacket.

My mom since her schizophrenia diagnosis in 2021 in some ways have improved in some ways have not. She did quit hearing voices,seeing people who are not there and has quit attacking us. She refuses to pay her bills. Refuses to bathe without a fight. Refuses all responsibilities. I pay her bills. Run her chores and remodel her home by myself. She refuses to go to her home. She refuses to deal with the cockroaches in her home. Yesterday I bought some roach treatment Roachbane. Hopefully I will kill the entire population. The roaches originally came from my brother’s house he decided wash his clothes at moms now they took over! After I get rid of the roaches I got to clean up the hoarder mess she refuses to clean. God help me. I work and tend to her full-time.

My husband was kind enough to take me to dinner at El Mariachi earlier this week. I had steak nachos with cheese. I had a lot of food left over cooked onions, broccoli,nachos and cheese.My husband and I gathered what was left over on both our plates and made a plate of nachos and tacos to give mom as a present. My mom is thrilled when we bring her food home. She happily ate it thanking us. I would have brought her with us but she refuses to come out of the house so we deliver everything to her.

I am freezing. I think I need to bring our bedroom heater out of storage. Mom has a heater in her room,one in the livingroom. She lives with us now she refuses to go back to her house since Dad’s death because she says she won’t stay there if he isn’t there.

Rob at Joann Crafts asked me to come back to work for him. I left because I kept asking for hours and he refused to work me. I am now working at Cheddars $13 an hour.Guaranteed hours. Rob was trying get me to come back for $8.75 and no promise of hours. I told him if I come back he would have to pay me better and work around my other job. He suddenly got very quiet. Why would I leave a better paying job? Come on now. I love Joann Crafts I worked there 5 years but I will not starve for a company. I would love to work there. I want the discount so bad!

I got to get the cats off me and get ready for work they are curled up in bed staying warm. Talan doesn’t work till the afternoon by the time I come back he will be leaving for work. I was told by psychiatrist I should have put mom in a nursing home but I refused because she is getting better. I rather her stay with me. At least here I know no one is abusing her.
