Unease

I have felt a growing anxiety that until tonight I was not able to understand. Now I do understand it’s all about politics. I have become terrified of somehow Trump winning the election. It is a nightmare to me and I think to many people because I have been reading the views of psychologist about Trump and seeing some psychiatrist talk about him. He is suffering from dementia and he is not a person to trust the nuclear codes with because he is basically insane. Yet how horrible it is that so many do not see this. He seems to get a free pass for being crazy because it’s become normalized for him. There has been a progression of his symptoms for the past few years. A recent highest ranking general in the American military said that Trump is the greatest threat to the USA and the world. Because his aberrant behavior and speeches have been forgiven and normalized people don’t see his insanity. And some might think because he was once president he is some kind of great man. But he is not. He is a crazy old man a sociopath. I have seen his speeches and how his audience reacts when he talks about violence. They don’t think they don’t use critical thinking they do not question what he says. I wonder about people that are polled and say he would make a good president when all he does is talk, hate and anger and vengeance and constant lies in his speeches and rallies. If he is elected president again it will mean to me that the USA and world are totally fucked. It will also say that the American people are genuinely stupid or at least a good portion of them. As many on the left have said we need money to vote many to cast a vote for sanity and goodness.

I am counting the days until the election with a sense of dread hope and possible release that all this will be over one way or another. Is the right wing fascist takeover government I wonder if the left wing will resist. I wonder if the gentle gentle left wing will go against the fascist regime. I wonder how many people Trump would try to destroy if he regained the presidency. I believe those that support him would eventually see the horror they have helped to create and regret it. Maybe not because they are a cult. There was an incident in which thousands of his supporters were left to their own devices to get back to a parking lot where their vehicles were after a rally. They were supposed to be bussed back but they were not. So many of them could not see it was the incompetence of Trump and his people that left them stranded 5 to 6 mile from the parking lot where many had parked then got on buses that took them to the rally. They were being totally fucked over by Trump and his people with their incompetence and they try to find someone else to blame. Find a new conspiracy theory involving the left wing somehow kept them from getting on buses to go back to their vehicles. That is the way of a cult. They cannot believe their leader could do any wrong. Insanity creates more insanity and misery for the world. November 6 will go down as the day democracy was saved or ended.
