Morning fog over one of our reservoirs. Mrs. Sherlock asked where we should walk Saturday morning, and I suggested up by here. There is some elevation but not too much. She says she is fully recovered from Covid, but I am not so sure. I didn’t want to push either of us. We parked by the big community garden over there. Wow-za. Jealous.

It is huge and lovely and doesn’t have huge ancient oaks towering over and throwing off acorns and offering more shade than most vegetables like. Oh well. My garden still makes me happy, and I can walk to it. We were both astonished to find our way back where we started after not really knowing where we were going. It was like, should we turn here, I don’t know…sure.

Seeing her was good. It has been a while. She likes to get a treat after we walk and lately that has been a diet soda. While we were in the drive thru line, she got a call from one of her tenants that she put on speaker phone. He said brown water was coming out of all of the taps. All of them. She said she would address it when she got home, after telling him not to drink it. She fretted to me about getting a plumber on Saturday.

It turns out a water main broke in the neighborhood and everyone on that line was getting dirt infused water. They are not sure why it broke but suspect construction.

You do everything right and stuff happens.

I had a dental CT scan yesterday of my lower jaw. This is so my periodontist can evaluate if the bone grafting, he did about four months ago worked enough to support an implant. I still have some tenderness in that area all this time later. The extraction irritated a nerve. He explained it all, but I am secretly hoping that maybe we can maybe pass on this implant for now. I am eating fine. I see him Friday. We’ll see what he says. I am most curious about what is going on and what his opinion is.

This afternoon I have a League meeting downtown. It was quite an adventure finding a time when six active retirees can get together. These people travel! All that pent up non travel during Covid. I have another meeting down there tomorrow. And one on Thursday with the other nonprofit. Boy, it is not like I don’t have things to do.

Mostly I just wanted to share the picture…
