I guess I’m not ‘new’ to be fair. I only have my permit. My boyfriend says I could go in next week and pass without an issue, but I’m still a nervous driver…soo. My parking is horrid. I'm practicing.
I don’t drive nearly enough as of late because of life issues. Things are settling back down again, so I drive once a week for one hour.
Yesterday I got on the road for the first time since early September. So I was a bit apprehensive but I’ve done almost 50 hours on the road now so.
There is always this road in town that has a slight curve. I don’t know why, but I always lean into the other lane on the right side instead of staying in my own lane. I can drive sharp turns without issue(granted most are single lane roads or highways)
The road is barely even a curve. And it's two lanes, but somehow I always end up leaning towards the lane on the right side if I'm in the inner lane. I was wondering if maybe anyone has any idea why this is? Part of me thinks maybe I was anxious about it, trying super hard to NOT lean into another lane, to the point where maybe I focused too much on the line that borders my lane and ended up going towards it instead of staying center.
I tried to look far ahead and to the center, right where the curve begins.
I also made another mistake, and that is that I decided to make a lane change and while I looked into my mirror....There was a truck right up alongside me, in a blind spot. And I almost hit him. I quickly fixed myself back into my own lane and got honked at lmao. I couldn't help but beat myself up over it. I just didn't check good enough(turning my head instead of just looking in the side mirrors with my eyes.) The car also doesn't have the best rearview mirror, but I probably should have checked that as well.
Last night when I went to bed I had a nightmare that woke me up where I went head on with a truck by accident.
