What kind of Halloween treats should I get? in Those Public Entries

Good morning Prosebox!
I’m in a bit of a pickle. You see, my parents visited over Labor Day week, and while they were here, they took me to Costco (my mom has a membership), and we got, among other things, a 5lb bag of fun-size Hershey chocolate bars. This was to save until Halloween.
Well… I love chocolate. Needless to say, about 1/3rd of the bag is gone. Mostly Twix and Milky Ways. My will is weak.
So I probably won’t have enough to hand out on Halloween, at the rate I’m going. I need another treat. (I’m already buying some mini rubber ducks to hand out, since I participate in the Teal Pumpkin Project. And last year, more kids wanted the ducks than the candy.)
If it were up to me, I’d probably just bake some Halloween/autumn-shaped cut out cookies and decorate them, bag them up, and hand them out, but people are (not unreasonably) a bit leery of their kids getting unwrapped or homemade treats. I mean, I would be, too; you never know what someone else’s kitchen hygiene is like. But at the same time, I’d like to not contribute to the sugar high and crash on November 1st. I have been a teacher on November 1st in the past, and I assure you, it is not fun, dealing with kids’ sugar hangovers the day after Halloween.
So, while getting my ducks on [Not Nice Name For Asians] Trading Company, I came across a 100 piece box of popcorn balls. Which seems like a nice alternative to candy, but… Do kids today like popcorn balls? I’d hate to get a bunch of them and then have the kids not like them. They also have bulk packs of Smart Pop, Pirate’s Booty, pretzels, and Cheez-Its. They also have a smaller pack of the popcorn balls.
So… Should I get the big thing of popcorn balls? Or maybe a variety of chips and popcorn, and let the kids pick their favorite? If they choose the food treat, at least; last year, I ran out of ducks right before trick-or-treat ended, and still had four pounds of candy left over.
