Here is the best explanation of the 75 Hard Style Challenge I’ve found out there. Today is Day 7! Going well so far, and honestly not that much different than most of my days anyway. Even though I WFH, I always get dressed as though I’m at least running out for coffee (even if I’m not). Yesterday was just errands day and I wore a kinda cute outfit. The key is that it’s intentional and I’m thinking about what I’m wearing. It’s gonna get wild now that the temps are cooling!
-
Ahhh yes, the temps are finally starting to cool and today I have to get out in the morning while it’s still cool and will be doing my volunteer event through the morning and into the afternoon. I’ll need to consciously do a little bit of layering! I’ve already stepped my little piggies outside and oooohhhh…sweater time!

My volunteer event today is with the super fun thrifting organization that I love! I was able to find a date on their calendar that works for my schedule this month…in fact, THEY sent me their September calendar, so I know they like my thrifting energy! If you remember, this is the organization that sets up little pop-up thrift shops for various homeless organizations. So the last time I did this, we went to this amazing temporary housing location and set up shop for the short-term residents. They were wonderful and so grateful and I had a blast. TODAY, I’m going to a city park in the middle of downtown! It might be a little different, and I understand it’s a lot busier than the shelter simply because there are just more people milling around downtown and they do it close to a farmers market. I’m curious and excited for today!
-
Afterwards I’ll run over to another part of town to check out a bazaar that one of my dog-owner nabes invited me to. I’ve been added to the “dog park” Instagram group, which makes me happy because now I can get to know more of my neighbors, but Martini is just too small to be in a dog park with bigger, more aggressive dogs like the ones in my complex. But I still walk her around the complex and we always run into other folks with their dogs on leash. In fact, the other day I saw one of my neighbors walking around almost aimlessly. I asked him where his gorgeous Weimaraner was, and he almost burst into tears. He said he lost her suddenly and ugh, what a gut punch. I can’t imagine. Anyway. All that to say, I have a few leads on being more social.

Whyyyyy is it so hard to be social right now?
Better go for now. Workouts to do. Clothes to decide on…

That sounds like a great way to connect with your neighbors! Being part of a community, even through a simple Instagram group, can make a big difference. Sorry to hear about your neighbor’s dog—losing a pet is so heartbreaking. By the way, if you want to grow your Instagram and reach more dog lovers, engaging with similar pages and using the right hashtags can really help. Posting regular updates about Martini and interacting with real instagram followers will also boost your engagement! 😊
