Just been swimming, then did a top up shop on the wat home. Shopping put away, swimming items in the washer, plastic bags hung on aired to dry. A lemon tea now sits beside me, with Archie at my feet as I settle in to write this then look for a cottage for 8 for the week of hubbies 60th birthday and our 40 wedding anniversary.

I need one for 8 so all the family can come for the weekend and we can celebrate hubbies birthday together. The rest of the week will be just us two, ya. It also needs to be no more then 2 hrs drive. So that’s my job for today. At weekend we booked a weeks tour to lake Garda in Italy, for October next year. We also booked a week in Scotland which includes 3 train journeys for July. We sure are organised this year.

Now onto the gas leak at the house in Wales. This was still on going till 9.30pm last night. Let’s begin at the beginning. Transco, were called to the house as an emergency as our son could smell gas on his visit to check the house. They have 60 minutes to get to the property and then 30 minutes to source leak and repair or turn off. If the source is outside the house, the meter or beyond, then it’s Transco job to repair it and it’s no longer our problem.

Transco come check declare its inside and turn off gas and make safe. Around a week later Ben our gas fitter checked and orders a part. He fits it a week later and all seems well. We spend a weekend in Wales. Karl then smells gas once more and the pressure is down, so calls Ben. He spends 3 hours trying to sort leak, with no luck and says, find someone else please.

So new gas fitter arrives and instantly finds the leak outside on the meter, so new meter needed. Transco is called and arrive and replace meter instantly within the hour, problem sorted. Naught Transco, they should have spotted it on first visit, now over a month ago. So now we have no idea if we get compensated for the couple of hundred pounds we spent on fitters and the cost of the gas over the month, but I guess I will find out by end of day.
