Why So Early? in 2024

Does anyone else see the ad for drinking olive oil? Dude has a huge bottle of it and is just downing the stuff.
It’s gross, makes me wanna puke, and needs to go away.
It’s 5am and Dana just left for his 2 hour trek to work.
I just want to go back to sleep but I don’t think that’s happening. Im pretty awake. Albie is above my head being pillow cat and the puppy is snuggled under the covers crashed out by my hip.
It’s cool outside. Hopefully REAL fall is on its way. I keep waiting for that first call to signal the official start of fall calving season.
At least with fall calving we won’t be pulling babies in the snow and blizzards.
My doctor said she hasn’t had “that feeling” yet, so that a good thing.
Speaking of work, I’m the only tech on today. My other one is out of town for the weekend. Shouldn’t be too bad, we only have a few vaccinations on the schedule. Let’s hope nothing goes too crazy.
It dawned on me yesterday that I’m not going to be able to go with Dana Sunday to set up the motel room; I’m on call this week. When I’m on call, I can’t go further than 30 minutes away. Let alone 2 hours.
“You can’t just go with me and come back Sunday night?” He asked. No, baby, I’m sorry.
It sucks. When he’s close I always go with him to get settled in to a new room. I usually spend the night and come back the next morning.
It’ll be ok. Maybe I can get up there next weekend.
I was texting with Jen yesterday and she mention they are probably moving at the end of the year. I can’t blame her. You gotta go where the money and promise of a better life is.
-me: yeah, I don’t know how much longer we are going to be here.
-her: where are you going.
-me: on the road with Dana.
-her: so you are going to live in hotel rooms?
-me: yup, until we get a camper.

That’s what was said. That’s it. No more, no less.
Not even an hour later I get a text from my friend Karma.
“So you are quitting your job at the vet clinic?”
What?! Where did that come from?
Apparently she ran into Jen and that’s what Jen is telling people now.
Why? We are grown damn adults! Why does she have to keep carrying on like a junior high student? Always gotta have some drama around her.

Ok, I’m gonna try to get at least an hour and a half more sleep.
