Skipped a Day! in These Foolish Things

I figured this out - I have to write a quick entry in the mornings otherwise I can’t trust myself to get an entry in for the day. No biggie - you know I love my morning routine, but sometimes when I hop on the computer and go over my calendar and look at my emails, the urgent things take precedence and the entry goes by the wayside. I tell myself I’ll do it later and then I never get to it.

Last evening I was so groggy and tired that I ended up going to bed at 7pm! And I loooved it. Got good sleep and feel like a million bucks today!

Mercury has also gone direct today - YAY! Forward motion again!

Here are things I want to focus on in the coming weeks:

  • Fitness: I started a new program on Monday and WHEW, it is haaarrrrddd but oh so good! If you want to check out what I’m doing, click this link. This is one of the YouTube fitness people I’ve found during my fitness research. Caroline Girvan’s workouts are supposed to be the toughest on the internet!! I did something called a “beginner” series last week and was shocked by how hard it was, but it’s supposed to prepare you for her 10-week programs, and by the end (I ended the 5 beginner days on Sunday), I decided I was ready for a new challenge. This is it. And it is CHALLENGING!! My end goal is strengthening my muscles. By the end of this 10 weeks, I’d really like to see some good muscle definition. Let’s see!

  • Friends: Just need to get my thoughts together on this one. I’ve been doing these Wednesday Sober Girl Walks downtown with this awesome group of women I’ve found, and I like that. I’m working on getting my former Cutie Pie Company girls together on Friday, I’ve got Wen and Lis coming for Halloween weekend, and I need to plan my next trip to [Former City] for when I go back to get my 3-year post-cancer treatment scans. ALSO thinking about going to see [Athena] in early November. Lots to plan!

  • Mom and Dad: Mom seems to be doing well with her home care person, a nurse, and a physical therapist all coming to their place to work with her. I think Dad is reaping the benefits as well. I’m so glad they’ve got these things covered. But now Dad is working on getting treatment for his Myasthenia Gravis. There’s a new infusion program that he’s being prescribed and he would have to go to an infusion center that’s over an hour from their house and it needs to happen for something like five days in a row. I offered to get us an Airbnb together in the town where the infusions are supposed to be and he likes that idea. I can work remotely there and make sure he gets to his infusions and back. I’m just waiting for the dates and we’ll set that up. Again, another reason I’m grateful for this remote work.

  • Dating: Still working on this and trying to set up a walk with someone who is into the walk thing like I am, but we’ll see. Ultimately, I need a morning person, would LOVE someone into health (this current guy is a longevity researcher!) and wellness and has his shit together. Is that too much to ask?

Okay. It’s time to get on some things. I feel like I have a full plate all of a sudden after writing all of this down, and I need to make some forward motion. Let’s go!
