i’m left feeling so oppressed
you don’t know what i know best:
it’s fear.
completely warranted,
but you don’t hear
beyond the glass you think yourself contained.
or you think you’re free?
well lucky me, i’m only maimed
in so far as i’m allowed to be.
and it’s a burden to have sight
my heavy knowledge,
for you so light but
how do you think you have the right
to define flaws
are you the law?
should i now cower at your might?
and bitterness is all that flavors
the inwardness in all your labors
