Wore her down without trying for once in Bittersweet

CEO told me we need to hire a fourth receptionist AA. I mean for one we have 5 locations, I currently man one plus help at the one next door. So Yeahhhh lol
After gauging for a few weeks. Our AA currently answer 58% of incoming calls. Calls can take anywhere from 2 minutes to 20 minutes ( canceling vs new intake) plus a huge verity of tasks that help support the therapists who are honestly as helpless as babies in our company. Basically all of the tasks they have, add up to SO much time, they cant answer all their calls. There was a lot of bitching going on. I used our 1 hr staff meeting and commandeered about 45 minutes I did basically a presentation of THIS is how i want your day structured. THIS Is the priority list.
I then told them, What is a REASONABLE KPI goal for the incoming calls answered. Because clearly 3 cannot get us to 90% or we would have. CEO was like no we want 90%. I said yes but when we have four trained. Not 3. If we COULD get to 90, we would be at 90. The girls set it to 65-70% up from 58 last week. Based on the scheduling things I told them I want to change and their priority list.
Im running resumes from indeed today. Ive got a few promising ones. I mean i have tons of “good ones” but they dont have the skills we want. Like experienced in medical scheduling. I mean we have nearly 40 providers. That is insane.
Each one of my reception has over 12 people to manage themselves!

Anyway we are hiring another person. Im really happy for this. Im being really picky. I feel bad because I can gut feeling like this one looks good, This person can develop the skills. But unicorn. We can do it.

I even offered to CEO that B is looking and he is really trainable. But she said I basically cant be my sons boss lol. Brain goes, why not, ive been his boss his entire life lol. But I DO get it. Im over here looking for jobs for him and just hoping! Im so scared he may kill himself. He gets so depressed so easy. Just like me. I just keep hoping something turns around. Hes been doing some odd jobs for me at work and im paying for it. But its not enough to pay his rent yet. So hes getting screwed fast.... I just dont know what to do to help him!!

School started and its going well so far. Week two and all. :) im so grateful for a 4 day school week. The kids do SO much better with a 3 day weekend.
My mom is in town this week. She went to my brothers wedding in Alaska and shes stopping here for the week to go to the doctor then fly back home.

Im all up on DIY cooking tiktoks and prepping tiktoks now. Yall. Do you know how easy it is to make things like brown sugar, powdered sugar and vanilla lmao. Im a total nut case now.
Its taken coming out of my own dark hole to find the time to find the things that make me happy.
Took 40 years to do it too…
