Really Horrible Day, Yesterday! in BAH HUMBUG!

From the second I woke up at 6 ready to be at work for 7, it was like being in a huge black cloud. I wasn’t in a bad mood, it was just really weird. I fed breakfast to our little cat and 2 coldwater fish which made me happy as always but then this black cloud came back over.

At first I thought maybe I’d had a horrible dream and it was still clinging on now I was awake but once at work and customers started coming in, even though I kept a happy cheery face I felt totally blank. Then a customer started blasting me because the price of something was too high so I politely explained it’s just myself and my hubby running this small shop f/t self-employed sole trader so we have to have slightly raised prices as we’re not a big chain and we’re also Specialist Retail. She dumped the item on my desk and stormed out.

All day the whole atmosphere was strange, dark, horrible. During a 15 minute break I went to the local convenience store and most people in the street and shops had faces like newly slapped arses! I’ve had that type of day several times over the years and I find it quite frightening. I was very happy when 4pm came and I could go home and ensconce, away from the people and the outside!
