Upcoming Prosebox downtime on Tues 8/20 in Site Updates (Josh)

Hey everyone,

Exciting news! We’re closing in on the upgraded Prosebox platform (what we’ve been calling the beta) being ready for prime time. 🥳

Buffy has put in a TON of work the last several months to ensure everything under the hood of the upgraded site is brought fully to up to date in terms of security and stability, as well as squashing a bunch of pesky bugs that kept popping up.

The next step, of course, will be migrating everything over to the new platform and database and ensuring everything is stable. To do that, we’ll need to take the site down fully for 24 hours. Now, will it take the full 24 hours to migrate over? Hopefully not. We’ll probably be back by early afternoon. But just in case there are some issues, we want to give ourselves a bit of a buffer and set expectations properly. We’ll keep the downtime page updated if anything changes.

The plan is to take the site down for 24 hours starting this coming Tuesday, August 20, at 8AM CST

PS there may or may not be a few surprises in store..
