Morning walk on the treadmill (not nakey today as I’m about to take the dog to the nature park for a good dose of fresh air before the sweltering of the day begins…).
Almost ready for my trip - just a little more last minute packing of my skincare/beauty/hair supplies and I’ll be all packed up. I’m checking a rolling suitcase so I can unpack it at the hotel and take it with me to the trade show. Martini’s “purse” fits perfectly on top of the suitcase, and she can ride along as I roll when she gets tired. Even though she’s only 8 pounds, I find that carrying her around a trade show in a purse on my shoulder can get painful after a while - and I have a theory that carrying heavy bags on my various travels contributed to my carotid dissection - so I think this will be a perfect solution. I can throw freebies and brochures in my suitcase as I go and roll Martini along with me!
I just hope I can wrangle Head Cat while I do all of this!
Making a list of prompts to remind myself of some things I want to write about soon - anything you want to read about?
- The latest on Mom and Dad: mom officially diagnosed with dementia and the support they are getting now that she has a medical dx
- My next volunteer event (actually I need to figure this out for August…we’re halfway through this month already!!)
- The latest on Anni and our lack of conversation - it’s getting ridiculous and not her fault at this point
- Working out and thoughts on strength and body image
- Cooking and eating habits
- Boys, boys, boys and where are the MEN?!
OK. Gotta run. My suitcase is not gonna pack itself!
xo,

The first sentence sounds cool. You are in control of your life. I hope you will keep it in control even though your mum has got diagnosed.
