I finally have some free time to tackle personal projects again.
It has been fun. I think becoming a father has def. taught me to be more efficient with my time and plan for things better. I only have so many hours of free time a day and I need to maximize those for success.
I have started writing more seriously again, not diary wise. I have been working with writing most of my life, be it for academia or business. But for far too long, I have neglected my own personal writing. I joined an accountability Discord with some pretty nice people. I have around 40,000 words so far. We will see where it goes.

The boy is turning 2 soon and it has been a wild but mostly positive ride.
He is the first child for both sides of the family so he is basically loved by all. It has been a huge help. My mother has always loved children, in fact, she wanted more but was unable to due to her health. She is a hero of sorts during this story, she comes over to help a lot since she loves spending time with the baby.

He seems to have a fascination for anything mechanical, from watching the AC unit to heavy machinery working around the neighborhood. He is curious about it. He also loves animals, which is a plus. Interestingly, during the first months we encouraged him to play with animals and the like. He had other plans. He does not dislike animals, but the mechanical really drew his attention. He would constantly make car noises and we had to buy him some age-appropriate toy cars to play with.

His sleep schedule is great and we’re glad we did some sleep training. My cousin in Italy has a child around the same age, she did no sleep training, and is now paying the price. He sleeps through the night most of the time and rarely wakes up.

With the birthday coming up, we’re probably thinking of taking him to a farm nearby. He has been all about horses lately and he is going to lose his mind.

Man, do I have a lot of stuff to take care of today.
Better get to it. We will see how the week goes.
