1994 Dodge,excited mechanics,confused owner in Life of a cat mom

I have a 1994 Dodge Spirit. I just fixed the transmission on it. When I brought it in for an inspection. The mechanics became big children. They were calling over mechanics excited for them to look at it because it has low rust and original motor. They stood back admiring it. I stood there confused. I know it’s from 1994 meaning it’s 30 years old. Am I missing something. They were worshiping it like it really was worth something..what am I missing? To me it takes me from point A to B. Is it really worth something? People around me saw it as junk. The mechanics act like it’s the holy Grail. Is it an antique or something? I see it as an affordable car with cheap parts. Way better than a car payment.
