matter or not
if you’re dead or alive
it is always preferred
to have a bride at your side

the flesh may be rotten
and there may be some gore
but I sure do prefer
her smile at the door

we sleep in the day
and prowl through the night
she don’t do much cooking
and dinner has fight

our kisses are long
they’re dark and they’re deep
are flavored with copper
from organs and meat

make love in the trees
and the darkest of holes
it stirs blood running cold
in the darkest of souls

love from the dead
still comes from inside
and you my most precious
are my beloved dead bride
