Pure breed MUTT! 🤣

I’ve said it for years, I’ve always known it, but I didn’t know the extent of it until the end of May when I finally got my test results back from the test D got me for Christmas. Just been trying to process it
..

2 of the DNA results came back much lower than I expected, and 1 was a complete shocker
33% England and Northwestern Europe (shocked at that one)
24% Scotland
18% France
9% Wales
4% Ireland
2% Nigeria
2% Cameroon, Congo & western Bantu peoples
2% indigenous Americas - North (thought would be slightly higher)
2% Germanic Europe (slightly shocked)
2% Basque (shocked)
1% Ivory Coast and Ghana
1% Eastern Bantu peoples

The African continent dnas surprised me only that there was so many alllllll over the place, and thought the German one would come back a little higher too.
The England and Northern European result was a complete shock - didn’t expect it at all.
Scot/Ireland/Wales - honestly not surprised - actually explains a bitā€¦šŸ¤£

Paternal side in ancestry is blowing up - think I’ve already had hits and hits back about as far as my 11th great grandmother.

Maternal side is WHY I’m doing this, just have to get some info from mom when I head down home in the next couple weeks.
I also must have sent an auto msg not realizing it to the half brother of my sperm donor.... Because I started getting msgs from the wife, and she was all excited to receive a msg ( cue the wtf I didn’t send one!?) anyway, she told her husband - he told a sister - who immediately called IT....
All before she responded to my ā€œmsgā€ . And apparently he’s so excited to hear from me.
I told her I am not looking to talk to him.
She confirmed what I figured though, and he doesn’t have much to do with social media, so safe there.

For any one who’s not used Ancestry, there a tab you can use to show matches by location - and it’s easy to tell that my family lines definitely decided to flock to north America and stay put…
There still seems a scattering of hits in the UK and a few in Europe, but North America it’s hard to see the map for all the dots.
No surprise siblings yet though..or childless ritch old relations 🤣.

Not much else to report on. Works been good - my ā€˜new’ fav assistant left last month, and we have a new guy who started not long after.. hopefully now we’re done having staff changed for a bit now that he and the new lawyer and her assistant are settling in.
Heading home for a week at the end of the month… Shoot me now....
