Property Update #51- Week 1 in Tennessee

Week 1 on the land! Here are some cool things that happened.

The farmer who owns the cow pasture across the street came over. He introduced himself and he brought us meat and eggs from his farm! He has 160 acres and his 3 sons help him manage the farm. Himself, his brother, and his parents all live nearby and he has grown up in our small town. This made our day! We have a person to get eggs from which I really wanted. He said he would send over his boys to bush hog the back of our property. There is a bunch of hay back there growing.

We had a family dinner with beef and veggie soup with the meat and it was delicious.

We also met our mail lady. Dad and I were outside putting the final touches on the mailboxes when she pulled up in a green jeep. She said she loves our extra large mailboxes and they are the perfect height. Dad was pretty happy about that lol!

While my parents were here we drove the 2.5 hours to Alabama to visit my 90 year old grandma. We played Rummikub with her and we went out to dinner. My uncle is there from California, and has been there almost 2 months taking care of her. But he had to head back to Cali.

We also visited the state park with my parents and the bonus fam. We found a hidden picnic table that was right next to a stream and we had lunch! I watched them put their feet in. People also do swim at this state park but i am on the fence about this. It really is a beautiful place with gigantic waterfalls.
