According to my therapist I might benefit from thinking about the things I’m grateful for. When I asked why, he said it helps develop positive thinking patterns. And this, I need. Admittedly, I struggle to focus on the positive aspects of my life and stew too much on what’s not right (rather than what is). This one, Oliver stated, is all about consistency.
So I think I’ll open up a gratitude book here and record one thing I’m grateful for every day. I’m writing my journal daily anyway, so I’ll kill 2 birds with one stone this way. I’m interested to look back in maybe a month to see if I notice any perceptible differences in my general outlook. Here’s day one:

Today I’m grateful for water to wash my body. I simply turn the tap and there it is; fresh, warm, clean water. I use warm water to shower after working out at the gym or when I come home from work. Freshly washed skin feels (and smells) wonderful.

Feel free to share one simple thing you are grateful for today.
