In the Life Log - Day 58 in My Musings

Today went ok, nothing extraordinary. I woke up at around past 8 since I had an interview for an internal post I applied for ~2.5 months ago. I’d like to think it went well, as the hiring manager said that he’ll recommend me for the next rounds. About 2 (or 3) more to go, including onshore stakeholders. The thing is, this is not even a promotion; more of a lateral movement since the company does not do “off-cycle promotions” anymore.

After the interview, I decided to go onsite since I was already dressed up for it anyway. As expected, the first few hours were very quiet so a good chunk was spent on reviewing my notes for Friday’s certification exam. I decided to go home a good 3 hours into the office just so to beat the rush hour traffic and continue the scheduled meetings from there, including the catch-up with my lead.

I trained back + biceps earlier and while the training was quite good, I felt my strength wasn’t up to par compared from last week’s. Since the stationary bike was being used by someone else, I had no choice but to use the treadmill; as expected, an hour felt longer than it should have.

It’s finally the mid-month as of this writing. Just like that, time has flown by. I do hope the rest of the week goes by smoothly. A few more days and it’s finally the certification exams - hoping for the best.

Overall rating for the day: 8/10
