In the Life Log - Day 56 in My Musings

Today went pretty good. I was out like a light once again the moment I closed my eyes. I woke up feeling a bit of soreness on the lower body, however, which is most likely DOMS from this past Friday’s workout. In addition to said soreness, I just felt sooo sleepy and tired.

This day, we celebrate Mother’s Day, and doubly remember/appreciate moms all over the world for their efforts in transforming the household into a home. I’m lucky enough to have a mom who, while myself and my siblings were growing up, really doted on us so we can all have a decent future. We celebrated at home over a simple lunch and cake, just as things should be.

Earlier in the day, we watched the mass online since both my dad and grandma have mobility issues already. The Gospel touched on the Ascension of Jesus to heaven and we are reminded in the homily of three key points: 1. glorification, 2. destination, and 3. mission. When we love and do good to our neighbor, we exalt God in the process. Heaven, as Christians, should be our end target. Finally, Jesus left us with a mission - to continue spreading his word.

As I end the week and look forward to the beginning of a new one, I continue to be optimistic. It’s been 8 weeks after the fact as well. One day at a time.
