Into Action in Still Listening to Spirit

Act*Natural left a note on my previous entry that resonates with me because Madame called me this evening. She immediately noticed my flat affect, monotone speech and general lack of interest.
She suggested that I go walk with her at the rec center. She said that it would help her keep the schedule. She said we can talk or not, it didn’t matter. She also said that the Rec Center has scholarships that I might qualify for because membership is quite pricy. If I don’t walk roundy round,we could use side by side treadmills. I do much better on a treadmill because it is not as hard on the joints.
She also encouraged me to see John the mental health person at the clinic and told me that he is now part of the Clinic so the sliding scale applies to visits. Quilting weekend is next weekend and she said we could just go and visit and also suggested that I go to the Senior Center from1 to 5 on weekends. The Knitwits gather there to knit and I would love to learn to make something other than scarves and afghans.
I was very, very sick Sunday night with uncontrollable diarrhea that the pills Lynne gave me didn’t work on stopping for hours. I felt awful today so I slept all day long. I am better but still unsteady and tired.
I know that I must get moving. I know I must re-engage in life. This person is NOT who I am nor is this person who I want to be. It is time for action.
Tomorrow I will do one thing, just one that will engage me in something. A walk with Madame or on my own treadmill. I am also going to call John for an appointment–it is time for a tune up and maybe climb out of this funk once and for all.
Blessed be!

I need to find a therapist as well. I've been down for too long.
How is your husband doing?
Prayers that you feel better soon.

I know you have support there and that makes me really glad and totally hopeful you can start one thing at a time or 100 to make a difference. Caring for you, feeling pain for you, and hoping you have brighter days ahead.

Hope you get in to the clinic soon, and hope they're able to get you up and running again. Hate to see you in a funk... hugs and love, T

I've fallen behind on reading my favorites, but I'll catch up. I've thought about you and hoped the beginning of winter is finding you still warm and happy.
