yessss!!!! This is an actual entry in Actual journal entries

Wow, I had to go and look at the last entry to see how far back my last entry was.

First off, I didn’t become youtube famous. My trainer was pretty merciful about the whole thing.

No, I didn’t get a ticket in the mail. Thank goodness for that!

The reason why i was a bit worried was because my sis got a red-light camera ticket a month or 2 before I hit that red light camera. The video footage showed that even though she was making a right turn, when the light was red, she blew right through the intersection.

I don’t do that. If I know there’s a red light camera, I slow down to a stop, look, then go!

Anyways, Lots to write about. Mainly because I have some catching up to do. Also, because i’m a bit down.

Women… they’ll do that to ya! I promise that I’ll get to that :)

So what in the hell have I been up to since my last entry?

• I started a new job. I still work in QA, but at least they’re keeping me super busy. I don’t have much time to slack off since there’s so much that needs to be tested/worked on. Contractor status, but the check clears.

Funny thing was that I didn’t think I got the job. The interview felt mostly good, but I told them, up front, that I don’t do leadership/lead duties.

Even though I said that, they liked me enough to hire me.

TO this day, they still don’t regret hiring me :p Especially since the previous 2 people who had the job were super incompetent. From what I have been told, I think it could have qualified as gross negligence. Just my thought though.

• Met one of my online friends in person, finally! Been friends with her for over a decade and FINALLY met in person. Why the fuck didn’t I meet her in person sooner!?

• I’ve traveled to Ireland recently. Stayed in the northern part of Ireland and stayed on the beach. I do wish I could have seen Dublin or the guinness storehouse, but we just didn’t have time.

Next stop, London in a few weeks!

I at least got to go to the Bushmills Distillery as well as Giants Causeway! I loved Giants Causeway for sure. I still need to edit some photos. I’ve been slacking.

• Recently, starting waking up early to hit the gym before work. My trainers and a few training partners missed me. Plus, I’ve started to see, somewhat, that I’ve lost a few pounds or at least starting to look slimmer. Go me!!!!

• Finally went to see another kickboxing card live! Glory: last man standing. My trainer was in the tourney and his qualifying match is probably going to be fight of the year! All i can say was, when he won that match, I felt like i was taken back to the first fight I ever saw of his in person. Wickedly awesome!

• Finally not ashamed of being a Cowboys fan this season! They’re finally doing well. Biggest test happened last night when they played the Seahawks. Loved that the Cowboys beat them, in Seattle!!!

Not saying that we’re going to be super bowl champs this season. It just pleases me that we’re not majorly fucking things up! Even though we tried to give them the game.

One of my good friends is a Seahawks fan. She didn’t take it too well. She acted like she got a toilet plunger for her birthday and started to use it to bring up old shit.

But heyyyyy, that’s what you get when you deal with a Seahawks fan. I’m sure not all fans are like that, but I guess I gave her a pass because she’s my friend. It’s just ugly when it’s your team that’s on the winning side, for once…

For the record, I’ve been a fan since the triplets (Emmitt Smith, Troy Aikman and Michael Irvin). No bandwagoner here!

• Now the “fun” part of my entry… My love life and lack thereof.

So I’ve got this schoolgirl crush on one of my dodgeball buddies. I’ve known her for over a year now, pretty much since I started playing dodgeball.

I definitely wasn’t attracted to her at first. Just that, the more I got to know her, hanging out with dodgeball buddies and all, the more I found myself getting crazy head over heels for her.

Just the way she hugs me, grabs me tight melts my icy heart a little. Along with her lovely eyes and her smile, I’m just… absolutely screwed.

Just the last half of this year, I’ve talked to her a bit more than normal. She’s going through some stuff and she’s pretty busy.

for example:
- Her dad’s got cancer and she’s taking care of him and stuff. I didn’t get into specifics. It took a bit to get the info out of her.
- She’s also working as an esthetician at a salon as well as running her own business.
- She works as a teacher’s aide for special needs kids.

I’m pretty sure she cares for me. Easiest sign of that was when I told her I drove home from the bar, after dodgeball, when I shouldn’t have. She gave me the business and admitted that she’s gotten a DUI and that it wasn’t fun.

I don’t know about you, but the DUI part is not something you any normal person would fess up about voluntarily.

One of my fellow friends on here gave me a talking to and now I’ve got until the end of the month to ask her on a date or forget about her.

What’s working against me is that I just got her number a few weeks ago. Up until then, Facebook messenger was my friend :p.

Also, I’m still wondering where i’d take her on a first date! It’s been AGES since i’ve taken anybody on a date!!!! I know her well enough, but I don’t know all of what she likes to eat :p Sushi’s one of them, but I had that planned for a 2nd date thing, if it went that far.

I know… I’ve got to sack/man up and do this already. I’m just… not looking forward to the awkwardness that I know will happen if/when she turns me down.

Guess I better do it before my birthday, which is in a few weeks, near the end of this month!

Another kink in this. She has mentioned that we should grab a beer together. Ball in her court on that one.

Also, yesterday… we were supposed to go out and grab a beer while watching the Cowboys/Seahawks game, but something came up last minute. She had to go to an engagement party. Sounds kind of fishy since, I think, it’s something that you’d know about beforehand. Maybe i’m overthinking things, like i usually do.

Anyways, if anybody has my Facebook and wants to see a pic of her, let me know. I will say this… she looks lovely enough for the both of us! She makes US look good :)
