Hello there.
Today, I feel a little better as far as energy levels
go and better emotionally, because I, for the first time in
quite a while, actually feel quite a bit hopeful, hopeful that
we might be able to fix my fatigue issues.
After all, they make a mouthguard for sleep apnea
that we can get for $100 or less.
You know, I thought the only way we could get one
would be to spend thousands at a dentist or orthodontist, but
we could try one for like I said, $100 or less.
And a couple of things happened last night that I
actually remember that make me think, okay, maybe it is
sleep apnea that’s been really wearing me down.
You know, we’ve been on a mission to go through
the process of elimination, and, you know, obviously, my fatigue
was not nearly as much on my thyroid issues as
I thought it was because I’m close to normal.
So, you know, and if it isn’t sleep apnea,
then that leaves something else going on with me
we don’t know about or chronic fatigue, which would
be the worst thing it could be.
So, um, anyway, last night, my nose was stuffy,
so, you know, I tried to breathe through my
mouth, but for some reason, that just wasn’t easy.
So I reached up and threw
in one of those nasal dilators.
And then once I was waking up, you know how you get
to the point where you’re kind of between sleep and awake?
So I was still kind of asleep, but awake enough
to be aware, and I was breathing through my mouth.
I was lying on my back, breathing through my mouth,
and then all of a sudden, I felt like the
back of my tongue touched the top of my throat,
and suddenly I realized I had to open my mouth
and suck in a breath of air that way.
So, yeah, I guess there really could be
something going on with the way I sleep.
Fitbit shows tons of spikes in the oxygen
levels last night, even though, you know, again,
I do have more energy today than yesterday,
but I also wasn’t up 18 hours either.
So if the mouth guard helps, I’m still gonna
be tired, like, you know, if thunderstorms wake me
up or if I’m up really long, like most
people, especially being older and all that.
But, yeah, I finally have a bit of hope for
the first time in quite a while where that’s concerned.
