Monday evening I settle down before the television, just in time for ‘New Tricks’ I quite like the new cast, the first cast saw the programs though eleven seasons, things must change after all the main players were their to play retired Police Officers. Age and the chance of something new are always going force change, the last of the first cast Dennis Waterman has said he will leave the show in November, so I suppose it will be ‘New Tricks’ again; and for now no news of the third man; or could it be …….

While I was enjoying New Tricks I noticed a flash through the curtains, but no sound effects for a while; after my program there were a few distant rumbling’s some seconds after the lighting; not enough to bother Ziggy. Today is a little could with clouds passing by, I was editing some images ready for Flickr, the second image needed a little work, a post and wires to be removed, and a black wire crossing the right corner, I edited them out and I was looking at the finished photograph; next moment the screen went black …..

The power was off only a few seconds, but it was enough to close down my mac, of course that wiped my photograph, and I was a second off saving it, then thunder rumbled through the valley! I’ve edited the image and uploaded it to Flickr. We don’t get thunder here very often, but that bolt was second perfect to wind me up!

The workers are here, building a timber frame to hold and extend the width of the patio, so as long the new patio is waterproof it should fix the problems! I see a few extra garment on the workers, last week it was an Indian summer and this week is most definitely a British autumn week; if I was out there all day there would certainly be more warmer garments about me. My idea of the worst job going would be working outside in winter, like builders or mechanic’s; garages in winner always seem several degrees cloudier than outside …….
