A duet of a kind …… in The odd entries from life …….

The pneumatic drill has been doing it’s business this morning, and the tractor and trailer arrived with out and drama, in fact it appeared on our drive unseen! The pneumatic drill was not as loud as we excepted, and it’s groaning sound didn’t bother Ziggy much at all, the sight of the workers passing by the thin summer curtains made both Ziggy and Lola to bark strangers.

So there barking is good, specially if someone is about at night, our first Westie ‘called Misty’ received hate mail a day or two after she had woken us up at three in the morning, we kept a watch on any think that could have been thrown into the garden; nothing amiss found its way into the garden.

It is another took that is making more noise than the pneumatic drill, a power stone cutter; as I type we have a duet of the pneumatic drill and the stone cutter – a sound we can both hear and feel! Lola has gone up stairs in seek of sleep, Ziggy is lying on the carpet by me, I think he doesn’t like the invasive nose but I don’t worry, so for now Ziggy is ok.

I went into Truro this afternoon, I went into W H Smiths, I picketed up a ‘I’ news paper and went to the till, there was on one at the tell but there were filling the self’s, I waited there for two minuets, no one came so I replaced the paper on the news stand and went out!

I was looking for a CD of music by Walter Carlos, now he is known Wendy Carlos, the only music of hers I have is on the soundtrack of ‘A Clockwork Orange’ I went into the music shop in the Pannier Market, they new of her but had no CD’s, in a well known high street music shop the response was ‘who’ I mentioned the Clockwork Orange album; I’m not sure he new who she was then or just nodding in a knowing way!

On leaving the Park & Ride car park, I was following a car to the exit roundabout, here in the UK we go round a roundabout on the left, this car went to the right and went out on the inward lane, fortunate no one was on the roundabout and no one was coming into the Park & Ride site; I suppose we all have these moments …..

Back at home the workers had just left, but the trailer was left here, I got my car up and managed to turn it round read for tomorrow, I had to reversed the Mini One up the drive; it wasn’t good for the clutch plates!!! As for the patio they had made a good start, about a quarter was gone, most of the rest has been cut into blocks; so we hope the pneumatic drill will make a quick job of them.
