Shorts yesterday - anorak today - and rain - it seems ages since we had any rain here, it looks like things have gone back to normal.

And I was thinking about breasts. Actually I often think about breasts, mainly because they are all around me. I know it is not the done thing to stare at them - and I do try to keep it to surreptitious glance - and I know it makes the woman into a sex object - but really I am celebrating what nature has given them.

They do not have to be large - in fact today I saw a strapping young woman who had some perfectly formed small breasts - but it is how they are part of the whole package.

It all goes back to a time when I was a boy helping out on a bread/grocery round - and the ladies (most of whom were sty-at-home wives) sorted out what they wanted from a basket of goods on the doorstep. Did they realise the effect on a lad of looking down a halter top while they leant over the basket. I became an afficianado of how to set it down, and where to stand for the best view. Did they know why I kept my hand in my trouser pocket? I doubt it - those seemed more innocent times

I became aware of different shapes and sizes - and occasionally a hint of a nipple. There were occasions when the shape of nipples were to the fore in the tight sweaters. This was before page 3 in the Sun - just the occasional opportunity to get a well-thumbed, rather sticky copy of Health and Efficiency with its advocacy of nudism as a way of like backed up by nude photos of women with their private parts airbrushed out. What I surprise when I found out what they really looked like.

This is someway before my time!

good use of a dustbin lid there!!!

(A more perceptive correspondent has rightly said it is a birdbath!!! She is right of course - I was not concentrating enough - I wonder why!)

I wonder what got me started on this trip down nostalgia road - it must be
seeing some wonderful breasts on PB yesterday
