Early Sunday morning in Day to day life from a woman that turned 60 in Oct 2014 and who lives on a farm and Retired on January 2, 2016. I plan to do more sewing, work outside in the yard and just enjoy my retirement.

Good morning and hi. I haven’t written in PB since the 5th and here we are on the last days of September. Time certainly has a way of getting faster. Although some “days” seem to last a lifetime. lol
Busy at work and busy at home are my excuses although not great ones. Needing to go to bed early certainly plays a big part in my lack of writing and the older I get the earlier I want to go to sleep. lol I can see me being an afternoon nap taker after I retire. THEN maybe I can stay up longer than 8:30.
I’ve been crafting, sewing, and watching the grands. All keep me busy and tired. I have made J two pair of pants…1 out of flannel and 1 out of fleece. I think and hope that I have the pattern down for him now. Thank goodness I used some less expensive fabric to get the cut out right before I started on the denim. I may cut out the denim today, but not sure yet. I also decided to make a wall hanging paper keeper to keep all my computer printables. The photo packages, card stock, and reg copier paper was taking all my space on the computer desk and it was becoming a mess. I used the vinyl that I had bought a few weeks ago with this project in mind, and some drapery or maybe it is fabric to cover chairs, etc, but I used it for the base. I finally got it completed on Friday night and have all the copy printables in their respective places. It is so much easier now to find the type I need to use when the time comes. Still have a pile of changed out stuff on the left of the copier but now those strays have a place too. Wow I need to deep clean my bedroom where my computer desk sits. I never use the desk top computer in there anymore since I got the laptop but the desk stores a lot of stuff.
Hit the general dollar stores clearance week before last and bought lots of stuff for very good prices. I bought 7 sets of matching dishtowels and pot holder for $1.38 which I’m going to give out on Thanksgiving. That was my plan before I got in on this fall clearance so it made this idea MUCH sweeter and less expensive. Yah! Also bought some new cookie sheets, and plastic food keepers, and more stuff than I can remember right now. I was like a hound on a trail and throughout the clearance week, visited and shopped at 4 different General Dollar stores. It was so much fun. They even had some of the food products at reduced prices and of course I hit those too.
I’ve been watching the grands on Saturdays for Dude and Dudette for the past 3 as getting a babysitter for Saturdays isn’t working out for them very well. Dudette doesn’t get off until after 9 and Dude usually doesn’t get off and get here until 7 or after. I’m one tired grandma at the end of day with 3 grands here. I took them and J to the fall parade yesterday afternoon and what a farce. It contained THREE floats, a billion antique vehicles, and two billion politicians begging for votes. Sheesh!! It was hot and long but the grands all got lots of candy. So much candy that the oldest grand, wouldn’t pick up the mini tootsie rolls as she had “too” many she said. lol I know all, to include J expected to eat supper up there, but I was too hot and the wait line for food after the parade were too much. Once I told them I was going to take them out to eat, they were ok to leave. I took them to McD’s and then they were allowed to get icecream of their choice. 2 dip cones, a chocolate sunday and plain cone after their meals and they were all full and happy. I called their dad as they finished up their ice cream outside of McDs and he was heading to the warehouse and then home. I was going to meet him if it worked out for him, but it didn’t so he came here to pick them up. The kids had a pretty good spat (well the girls did) and they both ended up in timeout for a bit but after they apologized to each other and they were allowed to resume playing it was ok for the remainder of the visit here.
I’m ready to start pulling up or cutting down some of my summer plants. My cucumbers may have that happen today. They are slowly dying since it is the end of the season and I’m tired of looking at the pitiful appearance of my once robust cucumber plants. I think the rain is suppose to be back today just not sure when. Guess when the drops starts falling I’ll know for sure. :)
It is time for me to save this and get on with my morning and day. Have no clue what the day will bring but it is always good.
Take care and God Bless
