It's been awhile in In the Kingdom of Suzu

I see I have not written since July—WOW! But I have been keeping up with you all.

Life keeps going on, good for the most part.

My daughter is buying a house—settlement is on Wednesday. It is a bi-level, nice yard, same school district altho PrincessM will have to switch grade schools, but she is familiar with the school as it is the one near my parents’ place and we used to go to the playground when visiting them. Of course, things cannot go smooth for my daughter, her ex wants the princesses to live with him every other week. They do that in the summer, but I do not think it would work for school. My daughter is very hands on for the school year. He does live in the same school district but his wife would have to drive PrincessM to the new school. PrincessL goes to middle school so that would be the same. He is coaching the princesses to write letters so “we can get what we want”. In the meantime he has stopped paying child support.

Jeff is very happy as his guitar teacher/band mate is moving back to the area. The guy fell on some really hard times, economic and health wise and had to move in with one of his sons across state. He has gotten his health back and financial situation settled and is moving back. The band will continue on in ernest.

We were both off this week. Did a few days gettysburg and still must make another trip! There is just so much to see and do there and we have only scratched the surface, plus there is a great Irish pub that we are trying to work our way thru the menu!

Came back home and are having backsplash tile done in the kitchen and getting ready for a cocktail party Saturday, except the guy has to finish Saturday—all day! Originally, he had said Wednesday, Thursday and Friday—but he is doing it at night—gulp! It will all be good—we do best under pressure—lol!
