That after-the-party feeling in blackpropaganda

So, I am still in the UK! Woke up at 5 am to listen to Radio 4 to find out that it was pretty much done and dusted that the Scottish people who voted had said No to independence by 55% to 45%. Not as close as predicted - but still a substantial percentage for those who wanted change - and in accepting defeat Alex Salmond suggested they would try again sometime - as against his statement in the campaign that it was a ‘once in a lifetime’ chance - maybe not in my lifetime.

In a way I am disappointed - I would have liked the Westminster establishment to have been faced with a totally new situation - within an hour of the result the usual political posturing of MPs and government ministers had returned. Apparently the English feel they are not being treated well - come off it - life is all about England - think about the football and rugby teams.

Anyway, commiserations to all who voted Yes - keep up the pressure for change.

In other news - hey there is no other news!!!!

Oh, apart from disruption on the railways in near London because of torrential rain - twas ever thus.

Still, time for another joke - what can she be talking about?
