I doubt watching television will be much fun tonight, to avoid an endless list of data of the vote in Scotland, we will be told about the weather and how it will effect one side or the other, also the numbers turning out to vote, will the 16 and 17 first time voters have all vote ‘yes’ I’m off a mine that they can this way and that as much as the adults.
There will be endless interviews with the ‘yes’s’ and the ‘no’s’ and all these thousands of words can be reduced to ‘we’re winning’ With this vote there is only two sides to vote for, Yes or No! At lest we should be saved from the swing-o-meter, as there is no swing to compare with be it analogue or digital, it will linger of stage until next year ….
Next year this tory lead government has to go to the people, I just hope they consider where they make their tick! Every one seems certain that the election will be called as late as they can, forgetting that desperate people can chose to jump! I wonder if the Liberal Democrats will put out of the coalition before the twelfth hour, thus then doing the tories as much damage as the tories have dun to the Liberal Democrats; I hope ……
Things will pickup as we pass 10-o-clock, after that things become real, and at some point we will find if we still have a United Kingdom; or if not hopefully three or four Kingdom’s getting on together sharing the one Monarch.
There was one thing that what good about this vote, Mr Smug other wise known as Nigel Façade, he can’t gain much today, he was the only party leader to said the Queen must speak out; did no one tell him we don’t speak to our Queen like that.
Tomorrow is a new day, and I think we could have a new country or counties, our politicians coming into the 21st Century after by passing the whole 20th Century …….
One last comment, should Scotland vote to gain independence, could we vote for independence form Eton College; or at lest some of their Old Etonians …….
