Hubby and I will be moving furniture out of her old house Sat Oct 4 morning until about 3 pm when we will go play with dear friends at our college reunion at University of Dallas.
I am about to schedule pick-up of any of the following for Oct 4 morning, but if you have any suggestions as to who would want a free working upright piano, lovely dining room table and matching buffet in dark wood (belonged to Mom’s childless aunt and is in great shape), bookshelves (not special), king-bed headboard with lots of built-in shelves, or a very interesting and heavy drawer cabinet for blueprints which my dad moved from his office but was already an antique when he obtained it …
Any are welcome to these if they come and get them Oct 4 before 3 pm - but you must let me know as I plan to schedule a charity pick-up. Also, my husband Hubby will be willing to deliver them to somewhere for a donation/purchase of cash back to Mom. Hubby will have his dad’s flatbed trailer available, but he does not need to spend his time taking free stuff to someone for free while I have plenty of things for him to do at Mom’s old house that day!
Thanks. Don’t advertize this around Mom as sometimes she thinks we will be having some kind of “estate sale”. My husband has volunteered the cash which might have come from that “sale”. My sister and I have learned the new Mom dynamics: DON’T ARGUE!!!
