Being away from Monday to Thursday last week I missed a program or two I enjoy, in reality it’s just the one program, on a Monday night I like watching ‘New Tricks’ a drama-comic program! It is set in a fictional ‘Unsolved Crime and Open Case Squad’ ‘UCOS’ it is a part of the Metropolitan Police Service [Not the real Met!], the Squad is staffed by retired Police Officers in a civilian capacity with a serving officer in charge; the series is now in it’s eleventh year.

The title is from the proverb ‘You can’t teach an old dog new tricks’ Monday’s episode was ‘Ghosts’ the story turns round an old lady with dementia in a care home, the elderly Gents and Ladies are sitting in the lounge watching television with good attention, one man is holding up a paper to read, in my experience attention of these homes there are very few people who can focus on the television, or read a paper, in Mum’s home such attention is beyond all in there!

I suppose such a story with a true to life portrayal of dementia would make the story imposable, or take up the howl series; rather than the usual sixty minute episode.

Last week the local area was taken over by the ‘Friendly Breadie’ club, they have a holiday near by each September. We have seen this active group of Breadie’s trying to keep away down the beach, Lola has walked with them when she was a pup, up to now Ziggy hasn’t been over whelmed by fifteen to twenty fellow Breadie’s!

Looking on there blogg Sweetheart came upon ‘Peebles’ on a photograph, it was nice to see him, he is nearing eleven years now a Ziggy’s Dad, I doubt they ever met as Peebles owners live on the south cost; where as Ziggy was bourn on a Cornish moor.

The way to ‘Peebles’ step by step ……

Then go to page 6 and look for a photograph with ‘Peebles’ on, there are two Beardie’s in the image, Peebles is on the left walking with a women.
The description under the photograph:

The image is near the top of page 6.

Note, Breadies are lovely dogs, they do pose nicely for the camera, and there was the time when Sweetheart and I took the Puppy Ziggy to the vet for the first time, our vet is a nice chap and I remember him sizing up young Ziggy and them us! He coughed and then looking at our shoes, ‘you know these dogs are a high energy bread! You are warned!
