Blood sugar down to 79 Tuesday morning. Wow, oh wow, I woke up lucid, engaged, and with a bit of dizziness. The pills I take for this keep slipping my mind until I get dizzy. Appetite not good. Everything I CAN have just doesn’t sound good. I don’t think of all that I can’t have–a v ery good good thing.

So Tuesday I was chatting with Madame and she mentioned that she has a car trip planned for Anchorage the first week of October to do doctor’s visit(s) as well as go to the Made In Alaska event there. That is where they order lots of things for the Gallery to sell in the next year. Or at least, look first hand at what is out there.

She mentioned that Greg was going too and that she didn’t like that b ecause then they had some sort of schedule to be back home, Dawson being in school and Greg’s commitment to Robotics and such. I told her it would be perfect for me to go with her and have my eye surgery.

Perfect? According to Madame, yes. She says she drives most of the way and since I can’t drive, won’t drive with my eye as it is, it would be ‘fine’. She is staying at Larry and Diane’s, I could have a blow up mattress in the pantry area if I didn’t want to share a double bed with her.

She said she asked Kara, but hoped she could not go. she can’t really deal with Kara without Greg as a buffer.... Anyway, sounded good to me.

I mentioned this today to Greg at work and he said that HE drives mostly, he doesn’t want Madame driving after her treatments, it undoes everything good that the doctor does. Makes sense to me....

Anyway, First week of October, we’ll see when I talk some more to Madame and/or Greg about this. I jumped at the opportunity. Bill has been upset with me because I haven’t made any ‘plans’. I WAIT for God/Spirit to show me the way.

Bill had a chiropractor appointment Tuesday. Liked the guy very much. Dr. said he doesn’t think there is a slipped disc, just bad muscles too long compensating for pain from bad muscles. He treated Bill and he was much better for half a day. Undid all that doing his usual. But Bill has stretching exercises to improve things and Chiro said he didn’t need to see him for a few weeks to let the stretching do what it can then he will recheck. VERY good news.

I keep thinking/feeling that I have written all this before. Maybe, ah repeat like an old lady.

Work today (Wed) was crazy with Greg and me selling tours and Eric out driving for the group Cruise Lady. On Wednesdays we sell out, sell out and Greg keeps adding tours. It’s fine. I held up well. I was there at 7:30a for the group taking off at 8am. Hung in there with Greg through the chaos of selling tours, keeping track of seats, passengers, pickup locations, and selling tours myself. Oh, and the radio from the tour broker adding passengers to tours.

I was good until about 11:30a when I had to go next door to pee. It took 3 tries to get up off the potty and I’m not sure I would have braved it on shaky legs if there hadn’t been a sturdy towel bar on the wall to pull myself up.

I gingerly made my way to the shop, sat down and got out the ham and cheese I had taken for a meal. I told Greg “I need to shut this puppy down until I get some protein in me.” He said “Take all the time you need.” The ‘meal’ revived me a bit and I was able to stay until all 3 12:30p tours got loaded and had taken off.

I came home, ate something I don’t remember what, and took a nap. I was pooped. Blood sugar tonight before shot was 119, also good.Roast beef and smoked cheddar cheese. Not tasty, but I just eat it down because I know I need to.

Bears are terrible, just terrible around and in town as well as outside town in the houses up Dyea road. Kara and Eric, managers at the shop, came home to find their fence torn from the house and the dogs gone. They thought Athena the big dog somehow tore the fence to get out.

They found Athena down by the river but no new pup…11 week old cutie they just got 2 weeks ago. Thought was if little pup followed Athena, she might have drowned in the river.

Kara finally found the pup under their deck in an area that is enclosed, stuck and whimpering.

Turns out after they looked around, the apple tree which had little apples on it was completely torn apart, all he apples were gone and there were HUGE bear claw scratches on the trunk! Very little food, but bear needed it I guess.

Bears in town each evening and night. We are all keeping trash, garbage and other attractants put away. We do NOT want to have to have another bear put down. But that’s what happens when a bear continues to ‘terrorize’ humans.

Be Bear Aware. A Fed Bear is a Dead Bear. Signs all over town as reminders.

That’s all I have right now. I am feeling hopeful about my health. Lynne has approved eye surgery in October. I need to spend a ton of money on test strips, needles and possibly insulin. Plus I need to refill most of our drigs and so on. Bite ethe bullet, be grateful we have the resources, Blessed be!
