Is a method of debate when you use logic to reach a conclusion on philosophical methods. Or indeed anything else you want to talk about.

For example:
I posit that truth is beauty

Socrates says “Mind if I ask you a couple of questions”

“Sure, no problem, Socrates” I reply

“Do you consider it truth that murder exists in the world”

“Well, yeah, of course”

“And do you consider murder to be beautiful?”

“Yes” I reply. Before I stab Socrates.

Truth.
