This evening was the first time in a week I've been able to log-in to my main account at 'OpenDiary'. Browsing around there, it's evident the website is not as active or even as basically functional as it used to be. The recent entries include diarists raising doubts about the future of the site and alternative places to write are mentioned in notes left by readers.
It was in those notes by readers that I saw multiple references to this site 'Prose Box'. A quick browse and noticing how many of the current members here mentioned they had come here from OD and well, it seemed like a sound place to write.
My diaries still exist at OD, I will not go obsessively deleting them just yet. It would be a great but surprising result if that site could be turned around. An eye will be kept on 'OpenDiary' as it was my favourite place for diary entries from 2002-2013 but somewhere safe to write without fear of losing entries is ultimately more important.
On OD I had a few forms of the username 'Hopingforsunshine' then moved diaries a few years ago to 'the-flames-rising'.
