Just the other day one of our weather forecasters said ‘it’s autumn now’ well it dose feel rather autumnal now, but that season doesn’t kick off until latter in the month; but yesterday did feel much like an Indian summer. These late summer day’s are warm by midday and by five or six-o-clock we feel that touch of cool, and some are of seeking a jumper, and strangely it was me also; but perhaps an hour after a significant other!

I found my self in Perranporth yesterday morning, a small job to do then a walk on the beach, there the traffic was one way, the shape of the surfboards cared horizontal were pointing the way towards the surf. But before that I was in the Post Office, Sweetheart is sorting through her books, and I was getting it of on it’s way. On Perranporth’s main street we have a charity shop, it raises money for Truro’s hospice; it is separated from the Post Office by a pedestrian crossings.

I like to wonder in there now and then, once in there I noticed an audio-book, it was Evelyn Waugh’s ‘Brideshead Revisited’ and read by Jeremy Irons, Charles Ryder him self … The box looked in good condition and was priced at £2.50, a cross the box it said ‘complete & unabridged’ It is on ten disks and runs for eleven hours and twenty minutes. Often I have mulled over these things, and some one else didn’t mull it over.

So I opened my wallet, last night I looked on Amazon to see if it is still on sale, I felt rather pleased as the set was a bargain; on line it is £38. So I took my ease last night, in ease chare with headphones and a smug look on my face. I can remember reading the book in the 80’s after it had been on television, on ITV this one, not the BBC. I think Jeremy Irons must read much faster than me, I took much longer then eleven hours, but I have enjoyed this story on television, in the book, on DVD’s and now on CD’s.

This morning we have a hazy sunny start, not warm yet but it’s not midday for two hours. I’m sure the agility will be on today, and I shall not a warm jacket …..

Note, yes I know I like a bargain!
