Well, this is the first thing I have done on this new computer.
My old Dell abruptly stopped functioning, because of some Microsoft update.
Then every time the computer tried to start it said there was an error.
Two trips to Best Buy at the Maine Mall at Christmastime is an experience I’d rather not repeat.
At one point my house was a computer nightmare – the downstairs computer (this one) was gone to the shop, and the work computer (“Work from Home Asset” is the euphemism used) was on the floor in my home work office – (previously Mireya’s bedroom, then my gym). Wires everywhere.
I had to turn off the two Shark Carpet robots lest they attempt to munch the wires laying hither and yon.
The WFH asset was a long time coming. I have been with BMSBC for six months.
I have logged on a few times – off the clock – just to make sure everything works, and it does seamlessly. Being on that machine is just like being at work. It is even dual monitor (of course one of the monitors is mine.)
So now when the weather goes to dog-squeeze I won’t have to waste PTO.
I’ve only clocked in once – for an hour Friday before going to work. At 6pm I received a call from my boss’ backup – my time was all messed up.
Apparently clocking in from home isn’t as easy as I thought. I’m going to work from home for a couple of hours before going in on Wednesday, so I suppose I will find out what I am doing wrong.
Christmas has gotten splattered out over three days thanks to the vagaries injected into the dynamic by multiple blended families. I can only imagine what it would be like if mancub and his Ex were local instead of in Texas. Add in a firefighter’s schedule and it is practically impossible to get the family together.
Third round of chemo/immunotherapy this week. Bloodwork and physical tomorrow then infusion Friday. Merry Freaking Christmas. The great thing is I always feel like crap three days after the infusion, meaning I will feel awful on New Years day and it won’t even be my fault!
Gotta get through the shower and get over to the Bean’s house to pick her up and scoot up the road (Over the River and Through the Woods to Grandmother’s House We Go!)
I just thought I would again be going right past Audrey’s house. After all this time I have gotten used to the knowledge that she was my last love. No one else could ever come close.
