Moe’s birthday dinner went well.

I had intended to try and leave work right on time so I could make it there on time, but of course it was chaos and that didn’t end up happening. I texted the boys that I would be a bit late. They replied that they were running a few minutes late anyway. I would be more than a few minutes lol. Rhys kindly texted that they would be coming through in about 20 minutes, but it would have been too rushed. I quickly changed at work and rushed to the bus-stop afterward, and ened up arriving about 15 minutes or so late. I thought they may have ordered without me, but they didn’t.

We had some good laughs as usual, including us talking about items on the menu and Moe’s husband saying, “That’s unusual, he usually doesn’t have any issues with swallowing,” HA! And then there was a ‘spitting’ reference later on, so I was like, “So we’re learning that Moe swallows and Rhys spits, is that right?”
Get a group of gays together, I tell ya :D
I ordered the teritaki chicken this time, as last time I ordered wings and they were far too messy. This was a much better choice. Some of the boys got the wings though and were using up all the napkins trying to clean up. Live and learn! I still got a huge glass of lemon lime and bitters though. I think that’s worth the $10.

Afterward, we again went to San Churo, although Moe seems to keep having issues with ordering a certain item there. This time I had the strawberry croffles, which were pretty good. It’s so easy to order items that are far too sweet there and they go to waste cos we can’t finish them. I was joking with Luke if he was going to order the chilli chocolate again, and he said he’d rather not be sitting on the toilet all night again. Ha! Gross.

So it was a good catch-up, and Rhys and Luke kindly dropped me home again, as they do. They are still used to me living at the old address so I have to direct them a few streets further.

It was good that I got to chat with some of the boys more one-on-one than usual this time, like with Luke when Rhys was hanging back on his phone and with Rhys when the others were off gasbagging. The NRL grand final had just finished and Brisbane lost, so the shopping centre was a bit solumn. Is that a word? I feel like it is. There are quite a few sporting bars at Chermside and they all had it playing on their big screens. I just saw the score as I walked by. I’m not really a football fan, of either codes, so I couldn’t really care less.
I was asking Rhys about the new Ray-Ban Stories, but he started the conversation quickly by saying his staff had signed an NDA, so I guess that means he wasn’t allowed to talk about them until they are released here, so that’s a shame. It didn’t make a lot of sense as they must already be out in the USA, as that’s where I’ve been reading up about what they are like. Still, had to leave that conversation just in case.
And then when I was talking to Luke, we were talking about my ex Luke (who used to live with Rhys) and Luke said that he always found him quite hard to talk to. I found that so interesting, as I’ve never found my ex hard to talk to, so I found it interesting how some people just connect and others don’t. Especially so, as both Luke’s are quite loud and out-there, and I’m the quiet one, yet seem to get alone with both? Anyway.

I crashed out pretty quickly when I got home. It had been a huge week at work. I ended up doing 49 hours all up, which for me is insane. But I just got the pay for it, so yay! Taxed a lot though, which I expected.

The next day was a public holiday, which I didn’t even realize. King Charles Birthday Holiday or something? Thankyou Australia for not being a republic yet! Still, it was my usual day off anyway, so no real benefit there for me. It did however mean that a lot of guys had the day off so were texting me. Including Andrew. I ended up catching up with him and we went and grabbed seafood at Sammie’s at Portside, which is always delish. And we laughed and gossiped, as per usual. I still haven’t met any of the current housemates he has in that house, but apparently my old room is still getting lots of sex. He said two girls came out of there the day prior, as the room-mate in that room is bisexual, but finds that getting with girls is a lot easier than getting with guys. I was mind-blown. I was like, “Is he serious?” LOL. Granted, I’ve never tried to pick up a girl before, but guys are usually up for it 24/7 Ha!
He came back to check out my new place and actually thinks my new room is ‘quite cozy.’ So that was a surprise. As it was a public holiday, my housemate was home too, so he met him briefly, and just asked how his day off was going. That was the extent of the conversation. Our two friendship groups really don’t cross over with each other, other than that time at the old place where his friend propositioned me LOL. And then my damn housemate propositioned me. But now he has this boyfriend that is over all the time, so I doubt that’ll ever happen again. Still weird we’ve never spoken about it, but it could be a good icebreaker if we ever get to drinking together again, but we never have the same days off, except for obviously yesterday but we’d both made plans already.

I saw some videos from Big Gay Day, including some with the guy in them whom I hook up with a few levels below. But I really haven’t lately because of the last few times not really working and also because I’m using this damn sex-toy fat too often. I need to lock the damn thing away somewhere. Especially after hanging out with Andrew and hearing all of his sex stories and housemates having sex in the old house haha. And I’m getting it artificially as it’s easier and I don’t have to talk to anyone or go out or spend money or worry about getting it up or whatever else haha. Jeez, it’s an effort these days.

Today was boring. I knew that I had to do this damn pre-coursework for the First Aid Course on Thursday. One of my workmates had warned us that it took her three hours to complete it, so I started it at 10am. I didn’t get done with it until almost 2pm! Fucking hell! At least I got all the answers correct. I’m not concerned about doing the CPR part, but I am worried about tying the damn slings. I am uselss at trying to tie anything, let alone a sling three different ways. So yeah, basically one of my days off was wasted doing this fucking coursework, and I just have to try and fake my way through Thursday at the Kelvin Grove store.
I went to gym straight after, as I hadn’t been in a few days cos of everything I had on and a tiring work-week, and the First Aid organiser rang me for some reason. I ended up getting annoyed. Why was he ringing me? He’d left a message asking me to call him back in regard to the coursework. Why? I’d gotten it all correct! Why couldn’t he tell me what it was, or even better, email me? These damn men fifteen years older than me and their phone-calling obsession - get with the times!
Anyway, I ignored it and did my gym workout and rang him back afterward. Turns out he was asking me if I’d done my pre-coursework. Umm, shouldn’t he have been able to see that?? I guess I had left doing it late, but I prefer that as it’s a bit fresher in my mind, as I forget shit easily.
It’s why I wrote here, so I can recall what the hell I even did with my life.

Oh I voted today. We have a referendum on October 14th. Early voting opened today, so I got it out of the way. One of my workmates was working there haha. He must have needed some extra cash. Typical Indian :P I can joke as my bestie is Indian and it’s very true. Anything money-related and he’s there.
The vote is for Aborginal and Torres Strait Islander people to have a ‘Voice’ in parliament. That’s all it is. A first step. And if the Murdoch media is to believed, pretty much the entire country is going to be voting ‘No’ on it.
I, on the other hand, can’t even fathom voting ‘NO’. I wrote a big fat ‘YES’ on my form. I went through a shitty, offensive Plebiscite in 2016 where the whole country got to vote on whether they wanted same-sex marriage, and even then it wouldn’t have been legally binding. Thankfully it ended up being so. That vote ended up being overwhelmingly in favour, which was amazing.
I think the people who originated this land at least deserve a God-damn first step in being recognised in the Australian Parliament.
But, like I said, if the ‘No’ vote supposedly overwhlemingly wins, I’ll know most of my fellow countrywomen and men are absolute cunts :D
