This Monday Bank Holiday is in the tradition of such days, partly why we never went far on Bank Holiday Monday’s, as they were often over crowded on the roads and to top it of wet as well! I was quite lucky at work being able to take odd days in the week, all those days we enjoy in Bakewell in any season; our one day at a time holiday!

I haven’t been into Perranporth today, I expect there will be some looking for something to do under cover, or mooching about in mac’s and holding umbrellas high to avoid peoples eyes; also I expect some are on the A 30 going east. We had four holidays in Cornwall in the year before we moved down here, two of them were very wet, I recall closing the cars roof-box with myself and the content more wet than dry.

With all his playfulness Ziggy seems to have more sense than Lola, I took him out to the lawn across the patio twice, each time he had a quick sniff an did what he was there for! Sweetheart had taken Lola out while I was still in the bathroom, I think she didn’t do more than look miserable, so after their breakfast’s I took Lola out, knowing Lola I put her mac on her, that at least keeps every thing dry except her head and tail!
I took her out to the lawn at the end of the patio, I’m happy going up the steps when there wet, so we stood on the lawn under the trees, there – there are less rain drops but those that make there though the canopy are larger, Lola didn’t sniff about she kept heading of the lawn; after five minutes I took her round to the steps. I stood in the first step as Lola trotted off on the roller lead, of course she wanted to a patch of grass just beyond the reach of the lead! After a minute of four of passing out a curve on the grass she picked her spot.
