going to shit, as expected.
A giant storm came through Thursday and took out trees and power lines for our county. Yes, our whole county. 200k+ households out on just one power supplier(ours). We were only out for shy of 12ish hours. The block down is still out.
DH joked that our generator could power our whole block, while others have these itty bitty baby generators. But, I’m not sure it’s so great to have the beefy one. It’s one of those that’s built on a trailer bc it’s so big, and can be stolen.
Everyone is talking about the mass shortages. Ive noticed the slow decay of order in everyday happenings. Mail takes forever, or is lost or broken. Our window installer can’t get his act together. Prices in the grocery store increase every week. Grocery stores everywhere are remodeling to hide the fact that they have substantially less product.
We’re stocking up on essentials- and I mean a couple years worth- salt, wheat, butter, and rabbit feed. Haha
