Family Pictures in New Immigrant

In May our great-niece Violet graduated from high school. On Monday she leaves for the University of Colorado in Boulder where she'll begin
studies in environmental engineering.
After her graduation party I asked to see her prom dress. She's such
a fun-loving, terrific person.
Here's Violet's Mom, our beloved Heather, with Violet's little sister
Lila. I always want to cut her bangs!
Lila's cousin, Emma, with hair pulled back! I notice their Grandma does
Lila's hair like this when she is in charge. My apologies for being fussy about this. Some things simply pull my trigger.
And last is Tom's Sister with her husband. Jack was doing very well at
Violet's party and he is doing that well again, but for a few weeks he
was in bed, incontinent, too weak to walk unaided, refusing food and
tortured by violent delusions. Fortunately he is better now but with
Lewy-Body Dementia things can change quickly. His room is ready
now in the newly opened care center but Tom's Sister is having trouble
facing that. Although the family understands that it is difficult, we are
all frustrated by her not following through. Her Colorado daughters
will soon be back to try to help her do what needs to be done.

what a gorgeous family you have,
I hope Tom's sister gets to where she needs to be emotionally, I can only imagine how difficult this is for the entire family,

Graduation comes quickly! The prom dress is a little retro. I remember chiffon and lace in the 1960s.
