boy I look fat! in Hi This is Kat!

This has been the first week of good swimming. My husband says I am getting brown as a bug and then later that day Jo said I am brown as a berry????? WTH I believe it is brown as a bear…A berry???? what berry is brown. Sorry I thought it was funny

Jo looks so malnutrition to me…so much more so than last summer. in cooler temps she hides her weight loss with baggie clothes but no hiding in a swimsuit. The top of her arms are as thin as most people’s wrists! and yet there is still fluid build up as she rests her arms on the table I see the pattern for a long time after she lifts her arm. :(
It is kinda the white elephant in the room… as I know it is her health fading and I am sure she does too. now her belly is also gaining fluid as her puffed out almost as much as my fat belly!

And yet she still brought her beer and drinks all of it in a couple hours!

She is in stage 3 or 4 cirrhosis. Unsure really which one.... she does have varices that have bleed a few times but not severe. I believe people at this point life expectancy average is 2 years :( and I feel she has been in this stage for a year or two already…

Maybe one of you know more than what I can read about cirrhosis. she also has low hemoglobin and had to have blood transfusion last summer… uncontrollable diabetes, high blood pressure and she does not take any of her meds but the high blood pressure pill. She refuses to take insulin! and on top of that she drinks…she drinks like a fish! she wakes up and drinks a shot and maybe a hot flat beer from the night before.... and continues all day!

I am going to lose my bestie soon… as there is no cure for cirrhosis and she will not be able to get the liver transplant mainly because she won’t stay sober and also because she is noncompliance that the doctor has told me he will not even suggest a transplant when she is drinking and because she refuses to take her meds.

the life expectancy I am seeing is just what I am reading online…maybe one of you know better?
