This is definitely do-able. The problems I had today were solely connected to not being able to see out of one eye and having the computer screen placed at a distance that neither my reading nor my distance bifocal lens brings the small numbers into focus. The SKU numbers for the various tours are on a cheat sheet and I am beginning to remember totals for multiples of the tours we sell the most.

I was welcomed back by Eric with open arms. Got a hug from Boston Joe, the driver, a smile from Kara and Katie was glad we are 'working together again." Katie is Greg's niece who has caused nothing but problems with her living with them and her continued drug use.

Anyway, there is now a half door between Fairytales and the Gallery with a shelf on our side so the cashier there can take money both from Fairytales and for tours if need be. This helps traffic considerably as there is no passing through to further gnarl up traffic and making that an area where merchandise cannot be displayed anyway. So the cashier there stands in a corral and is able to serve both sides if need be.

I had fun today despite my being off balance eye-wise. I sold 21 seats today. Eric couldn't seem to buy a sale, but was happy to let me take over. This Monday is a slow Monday and traffic was light in the morning and almost non-existent after 1pm.

I also cheerfully sold dretail--it didn't interfere with tour sales and although I got a wee bit miffed at customers' comments on my using newspaper to wrap things instead of bubblewrap or tissue, I explained that this was recycling which is much needed in Our Town and I thought we were quite clever not only to recycle but to be able to keep our prices down because we don't buy tissue and bubblewrap. SO THERE!

A few bumps in the road with a travel agent booked privatae tour for 4 people who didn't like crowds. Jack went to wait for them at 10am, notified me at 10:30 that they still hadn't shown. I called agent, got confusion and that they were certainly in town.

At 11am, I got call from the agent saying these people had been waiting for an hour, blah, blah blah. I verified what ship they were on (which I had tried to do with my phone call.) Found out they were not on the ship we were waiting in front of but the one across town.

I sent Jack to the proper dock, meantime Eric went to look for them at the proper dock. Got another call from the travel agent saying they had walked into town and were at Starbucks. Sent Eric and Jack to Starbucks.

To complicate matters, Eric called back to say that although they had paid for an 8 hour private tour, they had NO passports and NO idenfification at all! How did they even get on the ship without that? Well, it was quite a long process but they were let on the cruise.

So, Jack had 6.7 hours to fill and no way to go up the White Pass, limiting him to practically nothing in terms of extremely scenic touring. Jack is a GREAT tour guide, he has more information in his head about the area and the people in history of this area, he could probably talk for 24 hours pouring out all he knows. And he is witty and involves those on his vehicle as well.

I don't know how it turned out, but when I talked to Madame she said Jack told her it went great and he got a $100 tip. So, all's well that ends well. AND as far as a refund to the travel agent fi they weren't satisfied? NOPE, faulty information all the way as far as I can see so uh, no.

Okay, I am glad I am back. Tomorrow is scheduled to be a 10,600+ passenger day. I'll be ready, yes I will. And Madame is hoping Greg will rest instead of working 2 jobs since I am back. He is exhausted, grumpy and so on.

Gotta go read here and need I say, Blessed be!
