It’s been a while since I bought something I couldn’t drink eat or smoke. Uncle Spam delivered me my tax monies recently so I figured why not spoil myself a bit; it’s my money and I need it now etc.
Drove to two places clear across town from another, and neither place had my goddamn flipping Gameboy. Yes, that’s right, the old handheld from like 1988 (not the big frickin vcr sized one, dog, the smaller one). The first place was staffed by two hipsters, which is nicer than the fat guy who owned the place before them, but they also cranked up prices on everything because muh nostalgia. I would’ve spent 125 for that gameboy color…IF they’d had a game I wanted. They did not.
The other place I drove to no longer existed.
It was now a Noodle shop. Gosh man is there just no flipping place for the old things anymore? Do I have to constantly adapt and flock to ‘NEW THING’?
I saw it on amazon for like goddamn near 220, like, bro fuck you, that shit better come with super mario, mega man, AND a pokemon game.
Anyway, I’m alive.
Be good.
