Just checking in. in A small but passable life.

I guess I've been neglecting to write, both here and my handwritten journal. Lack of motivation? Lack of anything to write about? Perhaps a little of both.
Things are going well. I am so impressed with this daughter of mine. She's not only inherited my love of reading but also list making it seems. And her lists, unlike mine, actually produce results.
Her and Clayton were a few days late on this past months rent, their second month, but they had this months rent in the bank by the fifteenth of last month.
The driver's window has been replaced in the van. Jassy has been driving it to work ever since. The van is running great. The A/C isn't working but other than that everything seems as it was before being parked for a year-and-a-half. Now maybe they have some breathing room to shop around for another good used car to replace the Volvo whenever it craps out for good.
I've read Jane Goodall's "Seeds of Hope" and then finally finished "Towers of Midnight" by Robert Jordan. That was book number 13 in the series. I was ready to order book number 14, but a new novel landed on my shelf at the library. I should be finished with that in a few days.
I walked over to the student union yesterday to see when it would be open. I hadn't been over there since April. It was open 7am to 5pm so I just went ahead and spent the day over there with my novel. Jassy and Clayton both had the day off so I figured that if they wanted to go out somewhere they could put Liam dog in his crate and be the bad guys. I've only done it once and had to hear him whine as I left. I don't mind staying home with him when they're working. He's really good at telling me when he needs to go out. So good in fact that he is sometimes is able to convince that he needs to go out when he really doesn't.
So yeah, life is going.
I have no idea what is next. Or where is next.
I'm pretty sure it doesn't really matter.
I've got it down to a bus ticket, my knapsack, and EBT card.
