Today the 1st of August I have seen an advert for Christmas, a few weeks ago just before the schools closed for the summer brake, there were adverts for ‘back to school’ school cloths, pens and pencils, books and the necessary lap-book; I imagine some children would have to wait until Christmas …….

It seems to me the moguls of the high street have had their empathy remove by a surgeon, just to make those out muddied feeling might get in the way of profit. I can recall the start of the summer holidays, those endless weeks when it seemed next school term would never come; not much chance of such thoughts now.

I wrote two e-mails to friends up in the Manchester area, say what a good summer we are having, since then it’s rained all day, now and than it stops but soon I could hear the rain drumming on the patio. Just before lunch I went into Perranporth, things to get from Boot’s and then the Co-op, with it being Friday and looking rather gray; I thought I would fine some were to park easy.

As soon as I got into Perranporth I could see I was wrong, I managed to get the last parking bay in the back car park, and as I got out of the car it started to rain, as I walked through Perranporth the rain just got harder; when I got back to the car I realised my water proof jacket wasn’t. As I left there were cars coming into Perranporth from all sides, I doubt the space I left would not be empty very long; but I did feel very wet when I got home.

Taking Ziggy and Lola out tonight I was quite lucky, as the rain kept of a few minuets while we were out! Our forecast is not pleasant for tomorrow, Sunday looks as it could be dry, then next week we shall need to keep an eye on the weather; never boast about the weather in the UK.
