Laughter! in A day in the life...

Oh how I've missed it! Today was a good day at work...quite a bit of chuckling going on.

The first thing that happened was a fax that came in. The printer/copier/fax machine is right by my desk and Patrick was standing there waiting for a fax to come through. When it did and he read it he started cracking up and showed it to me and said "Just read the first sentence of this." It read "I HAVE YOUR CAT." What the person who sent the fax was trying to say was "I have your catalog " but they abbreviated it and wrote it in all caps so it came out looking like a ransom note. I busted out laughing and asked Patrick if he pissed off a customer so badly that they resorted to kidnapping his cat. We were loving it!

The second thing that happened was when the UPS label printer on Norrine's desk had a major malfunction. It ran out of labels so she replaced them and one of them came loose and turned sticky-side down while printing and got stickiness all over the roller part. After that she couldn't get any labels to print without them getting stuck on the roller. Norrine tried to scrape the sticky stuff off the roller but couldn't get much off so Patrick decides to help and turns around and asks me, Danielle and Lauretta if any of us have a knife. Lauretta goes "Oh sure, Patrick, let me get one out of my purse for you...I always carry several of them." Cue another fit of laughter.

I love my job...especially on days like today :-)
