July 19, 2014 Some of my readers suggested the problem was my piriformis muscle and it could be since I’m bad about stretching after a work out. angie has done myofascial release and taught me how to do it myself and also has stretched the muscle for me. I can't do either near as well as she can. As far as I can tell the treatment is still the same. Rest, ice, anti inflammatories, stretching, massage
Progress not Perfection moment of the day. I'm feeling quite a bit better. The pain is just in my butt and I’m so tempted to run but Angie has advised me not to for at least a week. There was a time when I would have ran anyway. I did however walk further than she advised . Oh I have another PnP moment. I had 400 calories left tonight and I wanted to use them on a frozen yoghurt sundae but since I already had the cookie I’m having a snack of cottage cheese and veggies.
Something I could have done better. I could have said no to the cookie at lunch.
Good Things I did for me
Walked about 4 miles.
Stayed in calorie range
Did not run

Why am I always so tired on Monday nights? Its not like I know what its like to have a weekend without OT so I can sleep in. It would help if I wasnt still having to deal with the pain in my rear (sciatica). It seemed to be getting better but I worked out for 2 hours yesterday and then pulled weeds in the garden for an hour and now I’m in almost as much pain as I was last Monday. I called the dr and he can't get me in until August 6 and then only because I have a regular diabetes follow up scheduled for that day. In the meantime he said ice, rest, anti inflammatories and he also called in a RX for something called ultran which I guess is a pain releiver. Maybe getting a good nights sleep without pain will help. :
Rocky and I are playing a game of keep away with my dinner of cottage cheese and vegetables. I finished the last of the cottage cheese, brocolli, and cauliflower. He can have the carrots.
Good Things I did for me today Called the Dr Worked out with Angie Waled 3 miles stayed in calorie range On the days I go into the office I have been splitting donuts or cupcakes with my desk partner. Since getting into maintenance I have been saying yes to those kind of treats more often than no. Today I wanted a donut but I told myself that I keep telling people that are trying to lose weight how empowering it us to say no to the binge or to off plan eating. I practiced what I preached today and proved to myself once again that I can do this.

That I have a job that allows me to have a home of my own with room and board for 6 cats. Even if I do bitch about the overtime.
